Health care assistants get certs

A NUMBER of Kilkenny Health Care Assistants were presented with Further Education and Training Awards certificates at a ceremony in the HSE-RCSI Education Centre in Waterford Regional Hospital.
The skills programme they completed relies on practical experience in the healthcare working environment and also encompassesa theoretical component.
Core modules of the programme include care skills, care support, infection prevention and control, workplace statutory policies and procedures, communication, work experience, palliative care support,care of the older person, activities of living patient care, intellectual disability studies and care of people with mentalIllness.
