Major fire closes Kilkenny City centre

A MAJOR fire at Supermac's Restaurant and Takeaway, closed the centre of Kilkenny City last night.
Six units of Kilkenny Fire Brigade rushed to High Street to tackle the blaze which was spreading rapidly.
And a large force of Gardai shut the street and all access routes to traffic and pedestrians.
